After a global outage hit Microsoft, affecting critical operations worldwide, Minister for Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) Ashwini Vaishnaw said that the Indian government is in touch with Microsoft and updates are being released to resolve the issue.
In a tweet, Vaishnaw said, "MEITY is in touch with Microsoft and its associates regarding the global outage. The reason for this outage has been identified and updates have been released to resolve the issue."

The minister also informed that the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team was issuing a technical advisory and that the network of National Informatics Centre was not affected.
In the CERT-In advisory issued by the government on July 19, the nodal cybersecurity agency has graded the severity rating for the issue as “critical” and issued some tips for Microsoft Windows users who might be facing issue.
Earlier today, a lot of Windows users experienced “blue screen of death” as their systems crashed. The issue, as per multiple reports, was due to the latest update of Crowdstrike.
