Apple is gearing up for one of its most ambitious AI-focused software updates yet. According to a new report from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, iOS 27 will introduce three major Apple Intelligence features; a redesigned Siri, an AI-powered web search tool, and a health management agent integrated into a new Health+ service.
These features are part of Apple’s broader strategy to position Apple Intelligence as a core experience across its ecosystem, spanning iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Gurman notes that while iOS 26.4, expected in March or April, will deliver a major Siri overhaul, iOS 27 will take things further by reimagining how AI fits into Apple’s daily user experience.
The first big change is a visual redesign of Siri, expected to modernise the assistant’s interface and make interactions feel more dynamic. Siri is set to gain contextual awareness, natural follow-up capability, and deeper integration across system apps; a long-awaited leap toward catching up with AI rivals.
The second addition, an AI-powered web search tool, hints at Apple’s move to compete with ChatGPT-style conversational search. While Apple currently relies on Google for most web results, this feature could mark the beginning of Apple’s independent, privacy-first search experience.
The third and perhaps most significant feature is Health+, a new AI-driven companion within the Health app. This feature will include a personalised health agent designed to help users manage wellbeing goals, track data trends, and offer tailored recommendations, effectively turning the iPhone into an AI-powered health coach. If successful, Apple could become one of the first major tech players to make meaningful progress in the health AI chatbot space.
These new tools are being described as iOS 27’s headline additions: features that could define the next generation of Apple Intelligence and set the tone for the company’s AI future when iOS 27 debuts in June 2026.
