Intel has announced the launch of its latest family of x86 processors -- the Intel Core Ultra 200V series. The new processors from the company are designed to provide improved AI performance, power efficiency, and compatibility for a wide range of consumer laptops.
The new processors are set to power a wide range of laptops from Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, LG, MSI, and Samsung.
Pre-orders for these devices begin today, with availability starting September 24 at over 30 global retailers.
Intel Core Ultra 200V Series processors: Key features
The Intel Core Ultra 200V series processors introduce several advancements in computing technology. These include efficient power management, redesigned Performance-cores (P-cores) for optimised performance per watt, and advanced efficient cores (E-cores) capable of handling more workloads.
Additionally, the processors feature Intel’s new Xe2 graphics microarchitecture, which brings improved graphics performance and supports up to three 4K monitors.
Apart from these, the processors also come with built-in Intel Arc GPU and is now equipped with second-generation Xe-cores, enhanced ray tracing units, and AI engines capable of handling demanding creative applications and gaming tasks.

As mentioned, the Intel Core Ultra 200V series processors are designed to deliver improved AI capabilities. The processors enable features such as automatic video scene detection for video editing, AI-generated art, and improved security measures like local AI deep-fake detection and AI-based file scanning. For gaming, AI is used to enhance frames-per-second performance and image quality.
Most laptops featuring the new Intel Core Ultra 200V series processors will also qualify as Intel Evo Edition devices. These laptops are co-engineered with Intel’s partners to provide an enhanced user experience. Key features of the Intel Evo Edition laptops include cooler and quieter performance, long battery life, built-in security features, Intel Arc graphics for enhanced gaming and content creation, and fast connectivity with Intel Wi-Fi 7 and Thunderbolt Share capabilities. Additionally, these laptops meet high sustainability standards with EPEAT Gold certification.
