Skyrim and Starfield maker Bethesda has unveiled the launch trailer for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, the upcoming single-player action-adventure role-playing game where you get to play as Harrison Ford’s archaeologist character. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is developed by Machine Games and jointly published by LucasFilm Games and Bethesda Softworks.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle features Dr Henry Walton “Indiana” Jones Jr. and his companion Gina in an original adventure-filled story set in 1937. The launch trailer opens with Harrison Ford’s Dr. Jones being asked to put the guns down by Emmerich Voss, a character believed to do something with the theft of an ancient relic from Marshall College, Connecticut, USA, where Indiana Jones works. Indy has tracked the thief down; it brings him to Vatican City where he also learns about the disappearance of someone. The suspect: Emmerich Voss.
In the upcoming first-person Indiana Jones game, the Great Circle is formed by 17 ancient sites spread across the world and is said to be a conduit of an ancient power. Indy must learn the secret of the Great Circle before anyone else and prevent it from falling into the hands of the wrong people, like the Nazis.
The Indiana Jones launch trailer shows plenty of melee combat you would have to rely on. We get to see Indy’s trademark whip being utilised in several scenarios. For example, the whip allows Dr. Indiana Jones to escape by hanging onto an airplane. It can also be used to save people, who can grab onto it and climb up. Indiana Jones can use the whip as a melee weapon too; the whip can knock the enemies down.
From the Indiana Jones trailer, it seems he will put some Nazi machine guns to good use. Traps and dangers await while you try to solve the mystery of the Great Circle. Look out for Emmerich Voss and his henchmen.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle launches on Xbox Series X|S and PC (via Steam and Microsoft Windows Store) on December 9, that is, tomorrow. It is available in early access. The first-person action-adventure game will also arrive on Xbox Game Pass on day one. The game is set to come to PS5 in Spring 2025.
