GTA VI is officially scheduled to release on May 26, 2026, as confirmed by Rockstar Games.
The game is set in the fictional state of Leonida, inspired by Florida, and includes the iconic Vice City and surrounding areas.
GTA VI features two protagonists — Jason and Lucia — who get entangled in a criminal conspiracy and must rely on each other to survive.
In addition to the leads, the game will introduce several new characters such as Boobie Ike, Brian Heder, Cal Hampton, Dre’Quan Priest, Raul Bautista, and more.
The plot follows Jason and Lucia as a botched heist throws them into the darkest corners of Leonida, navigating crime, betrayal, and survival.
Expect high-speed car chases, dense urban life, realistic weather effects, and improved animations based on what we’ve seen in trailers.
Rockstar describes this as the biggest and most immersive GTA map ever, expanding beyond Vice City into a larger, more detailed world.
GTA VI will first launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. A PC version has not yet been confirmed.
