Partnership overview
CP Plus, India’s leading security and surveillance brand under Aditya Infotech Ltd, has announced a strategic three-year partnership with L&T Semiconductor Technologies (LTSCT), a wholly owned subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro. Under the agreement, CP Plus will manufacture nine million next-generation IP cameras powered by LTSCT’s indigenously designed Vision System-on-Chip (SoC) technology. The collaboration marks a milestone in India’s move toward semiconductor self-reliance and innovation in the security and surveillance sector.
Technology and manufacturing
The Vision SoCs developed by LTSCT are designed and engineered entirely in India. These chips support high-resolution imaging of up to eight megapixels, enabling superior clarity and real-time detail in critical surveillance applications. Built with advanced cryptographic architecture, the SoCs also ensure enhanced cybersecurity and data protection for connected surveillance systems. Manufacturing will take place at CP Plus’s integrated facility in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, further advancing domestic electronics production under the “Make in India” initiative.
Industry impact and self-reliance
This alliance strengthens India’s position in the global semiconductor and security hardware supply chain. By using locally designed chips, CP Plus reduces dependence on imported components while supporting the development of India’s semiconductor ecosystem. The partnership aligns with the government’s Atmanirbhar Bharat vision, promoting local innovation, job creation, and skill development across the surveillance and semiconductor industries.
Leaders’ perspectives
Aditya Khemka, Managing Director of Aditya Infotech Ltd, said the collaboration reflects CP Plus’s long-term vision to deliver smarter and more secure surveillance solutions built on Indian innovation. He added that integrating LTSCT’s SoC technology strengthens both data security and India’s semiconductor journey.
Sandeep Kumar, Chief Executive of L&T Semiconductor Technologies, noted that the partnership demonstrates the strength of Indian collaboration in technology. He said the Vision AI SoCs will bring secure, high-performance surveillance to millions of users while contributing to India’s goal of technological sovereignty.
