Returning fan-favourite weaponsSeveral popular weapons from earlier Black Ops titles return. The Peacemaker MK1, M8A1, and PDW-57 (renamed as PUMA SMG) reappear from Black Ops II. The Rampart AR from Black Ops 4 comes back as the Eagle, while the VS Recon acts as a modernised take on the iconic DSR-50. Many of these will later integrate with Warzone.

Multiplayer maps and modesBlack Ops 7 introduces the largest set of 6v6 maps ever at launch, offering 16 core maps, along with two Skirmish-scale battlegrounds. The beloved Nuketown 2025 arrives during the Preseason on November 20. Classic multiplayer modes return, including Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, Search and Destroy, Kill Confirmed, and Face Off Kill Confirmed with scorestreaks disabled.

Zombies mode reimaginedZombies mode receives its most ambitious treatment yet, featuring the biggest map ever designed for the mode. A new drivable Wonder Vehicle helps players navigate large areas. The Dark Aether storyline explores different eras and locations, bringing back elements from past iterations. Classic Survival maps return, and Dead Ops Arcade arrives in its fourth version. Alternate takes on iconic characters like Richtofen, Nikolai, Takeo, and Dempsey join the Black Ops 6 crew.

Progression and Prestige systemsBlack Ops 7 includes extensive progression, with traditional Prestige, weapon prestige, camos, calling cards, and mastery challenges. Early players receive five hours of Double XP and five hours of Double Weapon XP before Season 01. Mastery camos include Molten Gold, Moonstone, Golden Dragon, and Bloodstone, each tied to specific challenges.

Cross-platform and cross-generation supportBoth editions support cross-play and cross-generation gaming. The Cross-Gen Bundle allows access across Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC with a single purchase. This ensures seamless multiplayer across console families and maintains a unified player base.
