Apple launches iPhone Pocket in partnership with Japanese fashion designer Issey Miyake

Apple has announced a collaboration with renowned Japanese designer Issey Miyake to launch the iPhone Pocket, a 3D-knitted accessory crafted to carry an iPhone and other small essentials. The limited-edition product combines Apple’s minimalist design language with Miyake’s innovative textile approach, marking a rare intersection of technology and fashion.

The iPhone Pocket draws inspiration from Issey Miyake’s philosophy of “a piece of cloth,” a concept rooted in the seamless integration of functionality and aesthetics. Made in Japan using 3D knitting technology, the accessory features a ribbed, stretchable texture that allows it to securely hold an iPhone, AirPods, or keys without losing its shape.
The design also reflects the same thought process behind Miyake’s signature pleated collections — combining structural simplicity with playful flexibility. The iPhone Pocket is designed to be worn in multiple ways: crossbody, attached to a bag, or carried by hand. It comes in two strap styles and a range of vibrant colors, including lemon, mandarin, sapphire, and peacock.

Apple and Issey Miyake share a long-standing emphasis on simplicity, precision, and joy in design. The collaboration aims to extend Apple’s vision of personal expression beyond devices to the accessories people use daily. According to Apple’s design team, the iPhone Pocket is not just a functional carrier but an extension of individuality — a way for users to express their personal style while staying connected.

Price and availability
The iPhone Pocket will be available starting November 14 at select Apple Stores and on apple.com in countries including the United States, Japan, France, Italy, and the United Kingdom. The limited-edition accessory is priced at $149.95 for the short-strap version and $229.95 for the long-strap variant. The iPhone Pocket has not launched in India yet.

This launch comes ahead of the holiday season, positioning the iPhone Pocket as both a collector’s item and a fashionable companion for everyday use. By merging Miyake’s avant-garde textile design with Apple’s product ethos, the iPhone Pocket redefines how technology can be worn and experienced.
