Google has rolled out its first Gemini Drops, highlighting new AI-powered features that are tightly integrated into Android devices. Some of these tools offer more advanced or seamless experiences than their iOS counterparts.
Gemini Live now supports real-time captions during conversations. This helps users in noisy settings or those with hearing impairments follow along with AI responses—something not currently available with Apple’s Siri.
Android smartwatches running Wear OS 4 or later now support Gemini AI. Users can set reminders, ask questions, and get summaries—all hands-free. Apple’s smart assistant features remain more limited on Apple Watch.
Android supports real-time translation of messages, media, and in-person conversations using Interpreter Mode. This goes beyond Apple’s Translate app, offering deeper, system-wide integration.
