Pravin Tambe is so far the oldest player to be acquired in the history of IPL. 

Pravin Tambe 48 years 2 months & 11 days

Tambe was picked by KKR in 2020 for Rs 20 lakh when the spinner was 48 years, 2 months and 11 days.

The spinner, however, was disqualified from taking part in IPL 2020 as he played in Dubai in T10 League without informing anyone.

The Chinaman spinner from Australia was picked by the Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs. 50 lakh at the 2015 IPL auction.

Chennai Super Kings picked Imran Tahir for Rs. 1 crore in IPL 2018 auctions. He claimed 35 wickets for CSK and was the leading wicket-taker in the 2019 season.
