Since retiring in 2017, Bolt has settled into a quieter lifestyle centered around family. Away from the track, he enjoys watching movies, diving into TV shows, and even spending hours assembling Lego sets. Most of his days now revolve around his children and home life.

Reflecting on sprinting today, Bolt believes his contemporaries—such as Tyson Gay and Yohan Blake—pushed the limits more than the current crop of athletes.

Bolt noted that no one has clocked under 9.70 seconds in the 100 meters since 2012, proving that raw talent is just as important as modern training techniques.

However, life after sprinting hasn’t been without challenges. Following a severe injury, Bolt admits he struggles with something as simple as climbing stairs, often feeling winded.

To stay active, he now focuses on gym workouts and has hinted at a possible return to the track in some capacity.

At the height of his career, Bolt famously stormed to his third straight Olympic gold in Rio, completing the 200 meters in 19.78 seconds—a performance that remains etched in sporting history.

“I mostly do gym workouts. I’m not a fan, but I think now that I’ve been out for a while I have to actually start running. Because when I walk up stairs I get out of breath. I think when I start working on it fully again, I will probably have to do some laps just to get my breathing right,” Bolt told Guardian.
