India started the preparations for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025 on a strong note. The Men In Blue are currently engaged in a three-match ODI series against England at home, which serves as the perfect dress rehearsal for the marquee ICC tournament. India have also attained an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series, with team vice-captain Shubman Gill showing tremendous form.

In addition, Ravindra Jadeja has been equally potent with the ball while Rohit Sharma's return to form has just put icing on the cake. However, one area, which still appear concerning considering India's ambitions at the Champions Trophy, is Jasprit Bumrah's fitness. Arguably one of the best pacers in the world currently, Bumrah is still tackling fitness issue and waits for a green signal from the medical team.

The delay has cast a dark shadow on Bumrah's participation in the elite tournament and his teammates are not sure what lies in the future. The all-rounder sounded clueless but hoped for a speedy recovery, which will be great for both the team and the country.
