A video is going viral on social media which shows Indian cricket star Virat Kohli visibly upset when a fan chanted "Chokhli-Chokhli" at him while he was shadow batting in the dressing room.
The term "Chokhli," a blend of "Kohli" and "chok" (a slang term implying a choke or failure), is used by Kohli's critics to suggest he underperforms in crucial matches for India. Kohli’s reaction to the chant has quickly gone viral.

The term gained prominence following India's exit from the 2019 World Cup, where Kohli was dismissed for just one run. This dismissal marked the third time Kohli was out for a single run in an ICC knockout match, with previous instances occurring against Australia in the 2015 World Cup semi-finals and Pakistan in the 2017 Champions Trophy final.
After the T20 World Cup 2024, Kohli will return to the field for India's three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka. He spent the past month in London with his wife Anushka Sharma and their children, Vamika and Aayan.
Kohli will feature in the ODI series starting this Friday (August 2), marking his first ODI appearance since the World Cup final last November. He arrived in Sri Lanka on Monday morning. Although the rain cancelled India's first practice session, he was seen batting in the nets on Tuesday. While the BCCI has yet to release official practice videos, fans have shared clips on social media showcasing Kohli in full flow.
