Harmanpreet Kaur is known for being aggressive on the field, which has often led her into troubles. The same was witnessed during the Women's Premier League (WPL) encounter between Mumbai Indians and UP Warriorz at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Thursday. Harmanpreet, who is the skipper of Mumbai Indians, got into a heated argument with Warriorz' all-rounder Sophie Ecclestone, forcing umpires to intervene the scene.
The incident took place right before the final over of the Warriorz innings as due to slow over-rate umpire Ajitesh Argal informed Harmanpreet that she could only field three players outside the circle. Harmanpreet tried to protest the call and was soon joined by teammate Amelia Kerr also expressing her displeasure. This led to Ecclestone walk up to the umpires to present her case, however, it didn't sit well with Harmanpreet.

Harmanpreet fined for Code of Conduct breach in WPL
Harmanpreet was punished for her actions and fined 10 per cent of her match fee for showing dissent at umpire's decision.
"Harmanpreet Kaur admitted to the Level 1 offence under Article 2.8 which relates to showing dissent at an umpire’s decision during a match," WPL said in a release. "For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee’s decision is final and binding."
UP Warriorz went on to post a total of 150/9, a target that Mumbai Indians chased down in 18.3 overs and won the match by six wickets. Georgia Voll was the main contributor for Warriorz as she hammered 55 off 33 balls, which featured 12 boundaries. However, her powerful batting display was overshadowed by Kerr's clinical bowling as she completed a five-wicket haul. Opener Hayley Matthews did the bulk of scoring for Mumbai and scored 68 off 46 balls.
