In his illustrious career, Virat Kohli has accomplished nearly everything and will be remembered as one of the best cricket players of the contemporary era. His most recent accomplishment is the IPL trophy he won with Royal Challengers Bengaluru, which was a very touching occasion for the icon.

One of the most unforgettable events for the RCB legend was meeting and hugging Shreyas Iyer's father after the game, while he hugged many others. On the pitch, there was intense competition, and neither Shreyas nor Kohli were prepared to down their guard. But after the game was over, the two's camaraderie and mutual respect took center stage.

Additionally, there were rumors that Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer were not getting along after RCB defeated Punjab Kings in the league stage match at Mullanpur. But there was no truth to those allegations, and the interaction between Virat Kohli and Shreyas' father has further squelched those tussle rumors.

Punjab Kings shared the video of players of both the teams interacting with each other on their official X handle:

Regarding the on-field rivalry between the two teams, Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings played one another four times during the season. The game at Chinnaswamy Stadium was won by PBKS, led by Shreyas Iyer, but RCB rallied to win the remaining three games.

Those three losses included two at Punjab Kings' home ground of Mullanpur. Interestingly, Shreyas Iyer, who scored over 600 runs in a fantastic batting season, struggled to get going against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the final, and his team suffered greatly as a result.

While Punjab Kings, who won the league stage, would have to wait longer to take home the trophy, RCB finally won it in the 18th edition.
