LSG vs DC 2025, IPL Match Highlights: KL Rahul ran the show at the Ekana Cricket Stadium and produced a statement knock against his former franchise Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the IPL 2025 clash on Tuesday. Rahul returned unbeaten on 57 off 42 balls, featuring three 4s and the same number of 6s, powering Delhi Capitals (DC) to a eight-wicket victory. The outcome takes Delhi to 12 points as they continue to occupy the second spot on the points table. However, they are now on level points with Gujarat Titans, who currently lead the charts. The proceedings began with Lucknow failing to capitalise on a strong opening 87-run partnership between Aiden Markram and Mitchell Marsh and were restricted to 159/6 in 20 overs. Delhi in response got off to a decent start and added 54/1 in the powerplay. Karun Nair, who ended his IPL hiatus with a strong show, has since failed to fire and his bat remained quiet on Tuesday as well. He got out for 15(9) against Markram. Rahul and Abishek Porel then crafted the innings, adding 69 off 49 balls for the second wicket in the modest 160 chase. Porel continued his rich form and slammed 51 off 36 balls before getting out to Markram. Rahul, however, hung around and was joined by skipper Axar Patel. Together the duo added 56 and helped Delhi wrap the show with 2.1 overs to spare. Earlier, Markram and Marsh helped LSG reach 87/1 at the halfway mark after the hosts were invited to bat first by Delhi. It then felt that Axar's decision to bowl first backfired but what happened next was beyond imagination. The team crumbled in front of DC's pace battery, who kept making regular injections and kept LSG on backfoot. Nicholas Pooran, the run-machine from the LSG camp, was cleaned up for 9(5) by Mitchell Starc. Mukesh Kumar then joined the act and removed Abdul Samad (2 off 8) and Marsh (45 off 36) in the same over, shifting momentum entirely into DC's favour. David Miller and Ayush Badoni added 49 for the fifth wicket. Badoni (36 off 21) fell to Mukesh in the fourth ball of the final over, and the quick went to add another wicket to his tally by removing Pant for 0 in the final ball of the innings.
