Bangladesh batsman Litton Das has revealed that the team is adapting to the SG balls and their unique characteristics ahead of their upcoming two-match Test series against India. Building on their recent historic Test success in Pakistan, Bangladesh will face India in a two-match red-ball series starting next week in Chennai. This series presents a new challenge for Bangladesh as they adjust to a different type of ball.

While Bangladesh has used the Kookaburra ball in their home internationals and in their recent Test series against Pakistan, India employs the SG ball, which poses different challenges. One key difference is the seam; the SG ball features a more pronounced seam compared to the Kookaburra ball.

"The ball will be a different one in India. It is a little harder to play against the SG ball. The Kookaburra ball is easier to play when it gets old. It is the opposite with the SG ball. It is harder to get away against the old ball when it's the SG," Litton said, as quoted by ESPNcricinfo.

In Bangladesh's first-ever Test series whitewash over Pakistan, the 29-year-old batter played a pivotal role in the second match. He rescued Bangladesh after they were reduced to 26/6 in the first innings, scoring 138 runs and forming a 165-run partnership with Mehidy Hasan Miraz to pull Bangladesh out of a difficult position.

Litton emphasised the need to move beyond their past achievements against Pakistan and focus on the upcoming series. "We played good cricket against Pakistan, but it is already in the past. It is important for us to look forward. We will need your (media's) help. It would be helpful if you don't talk about the Pakistan series. As a player, it is already in the past for me," he added.

The opening Test is set to begin in Chennai on September 19, with the second Test taking place in Kanpur from September 27.
