Mohammed Siraj got into trouble when he was fined 20 percent of his match fee and earned a demerit point for his send-off to Travis Head during the Pink-ball Test between India and Australia in Adelaide. Siraj was aggressive throughout the game and it peaked when he gestured Head to walk back after the batter got dismissed for 140. The duo later called a truce letting bygones be bygones but ICC punished them a few days after the match was finished.

This was not the only incident when Siraj lost his cool in the match. Earlier in the innings, which was a day before the Head incident, an agitated Siraj threw the ball at Marnus Labuschagne after the batter pulled out from his stance while the bowler was midway in his run-up. While Siraj vividly wasn't pleased with Labuschagne's action the batter was genuinely distracted by movement behind the sight screen. A fan with a 'beer snake' was crossing the screen, which led to the batter moving away at the last moment.
