Ben Stokes losing no sleep over World Test Championship qualification, England captain says, 'it's utterly confusing'

England are taking on New Zealand after losing a series 2-1 in Pakistan whereas the Kiwis are coming off a historic 3-0 series win in India.

England may be out of contention, but they’re not losing any sleep over it, according to Test captain Ben Stokes. Speaking to the BBC ahead of the first Test against New Zealand in Christchurch, Stokes mentioned that he couldn’t recall ever specifically thinking about the World Test Championship.

"The World Test Championship is a bit confusing. I don’t look at it,” said Stokes.

"Over a long period of time, if you’re playing really good cricket, you’re getting results that you want, you’ll end up finding yourself in the final and in the mix."
