Pakistan pacer throws open challenge at Abhishek Sharma

Pakistan pacer Ihsanullah has made a bold claim regarding India's stylish batter Abhishek Sharma, who displayed top notch form at the recently-concluded Asia Cup 2025. In a video doing rounds on social media, Ihsanullah claimed that it would take him just three to six deliveries to send Abhishek Sharma back to the pavilion.

While Abhishek has established himself as a promising talent, Ihsanullah has merely featured in one ODI and four T20Is, with his last international outing dating back to April 2023. He has a total of six T20I wickets and is yet to register a maiden scalp in the 50-over format. Meanwhile, he has registered a total of 23 scalps in Pakistan Super League (PSL) from 14 appearances.

“If I get to play against India, Abhishek Sharma won't last for more than six balls. I will dismiss him in 3 balls without any fuss," Ihsanullah was heard saying in a viral clip, and it has led to massive debate among fans of both nations.

In another video available on social media, Ihsanullah can be heard taking another dig on Abhishek. “My 140 (kmph) will feel like 160 to him. He won’t be able to judge them. To left-handers, I bowl inswingers, and he has struggled against such balls; that is why I am saying.

“I target the right shoulder of left-handed batters with my bouncers. And my bouncers are very effective," the pacer can be heard saying.

Abhishek played a key role in India's successful campaign at the Asia Cup, where the Men In Blue beat Pakistan thrice, including the final. Abhishek was named Player of the Tournament for his blazing show as he accumulated 314 runs from seven innings at a strike-rate of 200.00.

The southpaw has been equally destructive in the Indian Premier League and has amassed 1815 runs from 74 innings, which includes one century.
