The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is gearing up to host the much-awaited ‘Vaikunta Dwara Darshanam’ at the sacred Lord Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Tirumala. This special darshan will be open to devotees for a period of 10 days, starting from January 10, 2025, according to TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu.

To ensure that devotees experience a peaceful and seamless darshan, elaborate arrangements are being made. Mr. Naidu, along with municipal and police officials, reviewed the preparations at the Ramachandra Pushkarini on January 4, 2025 (Saturday).

TTD: Token Distribution for Darshan

TTD has planned an organized system for issuing tokens to regulate the flow of devotees during the first three days of Vaikunta Dwara Darshan (January 10, 11, and 12).

1.20 lakh tokens will be issued starting from 5 a.m. on January 9, 2025, through 90 counters in Tirupati and four counters in Tirumala.

Locations in Tirupati for token distribution include:

  • Indira Maidanam
  • Ramachandra Pushkarini
  • Srinivasam Complex
  • Vishnu Nivasam Complex
  • Bhudevi Complex
  • Ramanaidu High School, Bhairagipatteda
  • ZP High Schools at MR Palli and Jeevakona
  • Balaji Nagar Community Hall (for local residents)

From January 13 to 19, tokens will be distributed on a day-to-day basis, one day in advance, at key locations such as the Bhudevi Complex, Srinivasam, and Vishnu Nivasam in Tirupati.

Facilities for Devotees

To enhance the experience for devotees, the TTD has instructed officials to provide necessary facilities, including:

  • Queue lines and barricades for crowd management.
  • Sheds for protection from weather conditions.
  • Ample drinking water and toilet facilities.
  • Adequate security arrangements to ensure safety and smooth movement of devotees.
  • Mr. Naidu urged devotees to exercise patience and cooperate with the authorities during the darshan period.
Model Temple at Mahakumbh Mela

In addition to preparations at Tirumala, TTD is also planning to set up a model temple of Lord Balaji at the Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The Mahakumbh Mela will take place from January 13 to February 26, 2025.

The model temple will be constructed adjacent to the Vasuki Temple in Sector 6 of Prayagraj. Devotees visiting the Mahakumbh Mela can take part in rituals such as:

  • Srivari Kalyanotsavam
  • Chakrasnanam
  • These rituals will be performed in a manner similar to those held at the main Tirumala temple, offering devotees a unique spiritual experience.
Significance of Vaikunta Dwara Darshan

The Vaikunta Dwara Darshanam holds immense spiritual importance for devotees. It is believed that entering through the Vaikunta Dwaram, the celestial gate of Lord Vishnu, opens the doors to spiritual liberation and blessings. The 10-day event at Tirumala provides a rare and sacred opportunity for devotees to experience this divine connection.

As the countdown begins for this grand occasion, TTD’s extensive preparations aim to ensure that every devotee leaves with an unforgettable spiritual experience.
