CEO confidence strongest for India, slides for global ecos: PwC

According to PwC's annual CEO survey, confidence in the global economy has fallen 10 points versus last year's survey reports CNBC-TV18's Menaka Doshi.

In the World Economic Forum 2016 that kicked off on Wednesday at Davos, over 2,500 leaders from across the world participated to discuss about the global economies.

In what seems to be a setback, the year is expected to be challenging for the countries world over. According to PwC's annual CEO survey,  confidence in the global economy has fallen 10 points versus last year's survey, reports CNBC-TV18's Menaka Doshi.

Over 1,400 CEOs were surveyed across the world where 66 percent of them see more threats facing their business today than three years ago. Only about a quarter—27 percent— believe that global growth would improve in the next 12 months, she reports. Not just this, India is the most confident country in survey.

In an interview to CNBC-TV18, PwC Chairman Dennis Nally says in what is an indicator of where the global recovery stands today, CEO confidence is down sharply .

Talking on the Indian front, he says: "Many of the CEOs that I talked to are investing heavily in India," adding, "the Indian companies that are really successful in the country start to look for opportunities in other parts of the world."
