Maharashtra: 11 Naxals surrender before CM Fadnavis at Gadchiroli Police headquarters

Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis visited Gadchiroli’s Pengunda Police Help Center, expressing confidence that Naxalism will soon be eradicated in the state. He credited the police and district administration for reducing Naxal recruitment and the surrender of key figures, such as Tarakka, involved for 38 years. Fadnavis declared that Naxal recruitment in the region has ceased and many militants have been neutralized. During his visit, he inaugurated the Vangeturi-Gardewada-Gatta-Aheri bus service and mobile towers, marking significant infrastructure improvements. Fadnavis also celebrated the New Year with local police forces and conducted an aerial review of ongoing development projects.
