A woman took to social media recently to share a harrowing experience, caused by cancellation and delay of Indigo flights and lack of assistance from the staff to help resolve the issues.

Writing on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, the woman said that she had to miss her flight to Seattle, which forced her to reconsider her plans about visiting India in future and revealed that diabetic patients were forced to eat sugary foods and all the manager could say for the inconvenience caused was they had no option.

The woman's posts got her a reply from Indigo, who apologised for the inconvenience caused and requested her to send the PNR details.

This is not the first recent instance in which a passenger has recounted a troubling experience while flying with Indigo.

In April, a passenger shared what he and his fellow flyers went through while flying from Ayodhya to Delhi, revealing that some of them and the crew had started to puke out to fear.

Passengers received standard refreshment boxes: Indigo

Following the posts on social media, Indigo reacted on Monday saying that the flight had been cancelled due to a technical issue.

"IndiGo flight 6E 2286 from Ranchi to Delhi was cancelled on May 10, 2024 due to a technical issue. Passengers were provided with refreshments and given the option of a full refund or accommodation based on their needs," the airline said in a statement.

Indigo also clarified that all flyers were given "standard refreshment boxes" and there were no specific requests made for a diabetic meal to the airline staff.

"All passengers received standard refreshment boxes, and no specific requests were made for a diabetic meal to IndiGo staff at the airport.

If any passenger informs us of their dietary needs, we offer them suitable options. Our commitment is to always provide a hassle-free experience to our customers," the statement added.
