A house in US's Virginia exploded on Monday night and rocked a neighborhood with a powerful blast after a suspect fired a flare gun from the building around 40 times to scare off the police. The incident caught on camera is now viral.
The clip shows police vehicles outside a brick house. A blast suddenly erupts and blows away the front porch while the roof flies high into the air as the debris rains down amid an orange glow from the flames. People in the neighbourhood can be heard shouting in disbelief as clouds of black smoke billowed into the air and car alarms went off.

According to reports, the incident happened after there was a faceoff between the suspect and the police which lasted for hours.
The police received reports of a man firing a flare gun from a home in the locality around 4.45 p.m. The suspect fired the flare gun 30 to 40 times, and no injuries or damage were reported from those discharges, NBC Washington quoted the police as saying after a preliminary investigation.
Officers tried to execute the search warrant shortly before 8.30 pm and the suspect allegedly fired multiple rounds, "from what is believed to be a firearm," to try and ward them off, the authorities said.
"I was in the back of my house, and I had been hearing prior to this, some sort of firecracker sorts of sounds, and then suddenly there's a loud boom, and my entire house is shaking," neighbouring resident Ann-Elise Quinn told NBC Washington. "All the lights went off immediately."
