Apple CEO Tim Cook, who has been in India this week for the launch of the two new Apple stores in Mumbai and New Delhi, found some time to watch an Indian Premier League match between Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders at the Arun Jaitely Stadium on Thursday.
Cook was seen in attendance with Bollywood actor Sonam Kapoor and her husband Anand Anuja. The actor later took to Instagram to share photos with Cook.
"Tim Cook and entire apple team - we hope you’ve had a lovely stay here and leave encouraged and positive on Apple’s outlook in the country. We’re so grateful for the care and attention you’ve given to creating your signature world class experience here. anandahuja," Kapoor wrote in her post.
Cook seemed to have been impressed with what he saw at the game and thanked the actor for "an unforgettable evening".

This, however, is not the first IPL game that Cook has seen in India. In 2016, the Apple CEO was in Kanpur for a game between the now-defunct Gujarat Lions and Kolkata Knight Riders.

The Capitals registered their first win of IPL 2023 on Thursday by defeating Knight Riders by four wickets.
