Pop sensation Taylor Swift has issued a stern warning of legal action against Jack Sweeney, a 21-year-old college student who tracks details of every flight she takes. Sweeney, who is majoring in IT, runs over 30 bot accounts to track the super-wealthy, including Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg and Jeff Bezos.
Pointing out that the tracking of her flights amounts to "stalking", Swift's lawyers issued a ceast-and-desist notice in December to Sweeney, asking him to stop sharing the location of the singer's private jet.
Elon Musk reacted, saying Swift does have the "right to be concerned" and that Sweeney is an "awful human being".
Jack Sweeney, whose X accounts were suspended by Musk, hit back at the X boss from his new account, with a sharp comeback.
"Let's remember you offered me 5k to stop. Also threatened to sue me, and here we are a year later," he told Musk.

He had been offered $5,000 by Musk to stop tracking his plane but he countered with $50,000 or an internship. Later, Sweeney said he would stop tracking Musk if he allowed him on his private jet.
In 2022, Swift was slammed for her frequent jet usage, leading to carbon emissions. She topped the list of celebrities with the highest jet emissions amid the climate crisis, according to details revealed by British sustainability marketing firm Yard. The agency named and shamed the "worst private jet CO2 emission offenders" among celebrities.
Taylor Swift's jet flew 170 times between January and July 2022, with total flight emissions for the year reaching 8,293.54 tonnes, or 1,184.8 times more than the average person, Yard said.
