Days before the 141st IOC Session in Mumbai, International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach and the Member in India, Nita Ambani, were welcomed by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on October 10.

Nita Ambani has been an IOC Member in India since 2016. What makes the IOC Session even more special is the fact that she also happens to be the first female IOC Member in India.

The IOC session is being held in India after 40 years, the session was last held in 1983 in New Delhi. It was attended by then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, who was welcomed by the then IOC President Juan Antonio Samaranch.
