Tokyo Olympics 2020 Day 5 Highlights: India's shooters continue to disappoint at the Tokyo Games. The promising mixed doubles duo of Saurabh Choudhary and Manu Bhaker failed to qualify for the medal rounds in the 10m Air Pistol event. Indian shooters Abhishek Verma and Yashaswini Singh Deswal, meanwhile, bowed out with a 17th place finish in qualifying stage 1. All eyes will now be on Sindhu and Mary Kom - the last two realistic hopes at a medal shot for India.

Japan's Takanori Nagase won the men's -81kg judo gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics by beating Saeid Mollaei of Mongolia in the final, extending the gold rush by Japanese judokas.
Rio bronze medallist Nagase's victory marked a fifth judo gold medal for hosts Japan at the Games, edging them closer to their previous Olympic record of eight titles in 2004 in Athens.
In a gruelling final that lasted over 5-1/2 minutes, the 27-year-old Nagase, an uchimata inner thigh throw specialist, delivered an ashi-guruma foot wheel to throw Mollaei down on the tatami mats to earn a waza-ari sudden-death overtime victory.

: India's Lovlina Bogohain continues her march towards Olympic glory. She beat Germany's Nadine Apetzin the Round of 16 of the Women's welterweight category 3-2 to qualify for the quarter-finals.

: India's last standing athlete in Tennis at the Tokyo Olympics - Sharath Achanta - is out. Achanta was beaten in the third round by China's Ma Long. Long was in fine form as he thrashed Achanta 11-1, 8-11, 13-11, 11-4, 11-4. Achanta gave a tough fight in the third set after winning the first set. But after losing the third set, it was all Ma Long all the way as he took the fourth and fifth games quickly.

: Major upset in Tennis. World Number one and hot favourite Naomi Osaka is out. She was beaten in straight sets by Czech Republic's Marketa Vondrousova 6-1, 6-4 in a major upset.

After disappointing outings for Manu Bhaker and Saurabh Chaudhary in their individual events, the duo have been knocked out of the 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team event as well. The dup performed well in the first round of qualifications, but could not qualify for the medal rounds.

: Australia's Kaylee McKeown won swimming gold in the women's 100m backstroke at Tokyo 2020 and also set a new Olympic record of 57.47 seconds.It was a closely-fought battle to the finish line against rivals Canada's Kylie Masse and USA's Regan Smith - who were also both strong contenders for gold and at one point also world record holders of the event - but in the end, it was McKeown who touched the wall first at the Tokyo Aquatics Centre.This is the second swimming gold medal at Tokyo 2020 for Australia after the women's 4x100 freestyle relay team clinched gold last 25 July.McKeown's time of 57.47 seconds was just off the world record mark she set this year of 57.45 at the Australian Olympic trials in June.Masse claimed silver at 57.72 seconds whilst Smith took bronze at 58.43 seconds.
