India vs Australia, 3rd Test: Visitors fight to hang on for a draw

Shaun Marsh and Peter Handscomb soaked up relentless pressure from India's spinners to help Australia rescue a draw on the final day of the third Test in Ranchi.

After Australia went into lunch at a precarious 82/4, Marsh (53) and Handscomb (72*) batted through the second session. Ravindra Jadeja took four wickets but it wasn't enough as the duo put on 124 runs as the visitors reached 204/6 before India offered a draw 10 minutes before the scheduled close.

The series is currently tied at 1-1 with one match to play .
