Ratan Tata, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Mukesh Ambani, Sunil Mittal are towering titans of India Inc. They have made our country proud in the global arena with their big ticket acquisitions.

They have not only put India on the global map but have also changed the perception of brand India. It is because of their relentless efforts, today 'Made in India tag' is readily accepted world over. Along side these towering giants, there are thousands of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) who have silently and religiously marketed brand India by exporting goods and services for decades now. In a way they are the real unsung heroes of India Inc who have done the country proud by taking India global. These exporters can be addressed as the unofficial brand ambassadors of India. In recognition of their die-hard spirit in enterprise, DHL and CNBC-TV18 instituted the International Trade Awards in 2006. This award is in its fourth edition. It aims at recognising the growing importance of the exporting community to India
