Audi has launched a spree of vehicles in its race for the first spot in the luxury car segment. Overdrive’s editor Bertrand D’Souza caught up with Audi India’s Managing Director Michael Perschke in an exclusive interview to find out more about their ambitious plans in India."India wasn't easy. In Europe we had a long history where we moved from more conservative design in the 80's, 90's and 2000 to 2010 plus while in India we started only in 2007. So, of course from day one we positioned ourselves as a very progressive brand, very design oriented," says Perschke.
Besides, catch Bertrand behind wheel of Audi’s new offering in the premium compact segment - the A3. Can this latest car from Audi’s stable help Audi to get near the number one position in the luxury car market?
