Railway passenger with Rs 2,000 AC ticket, spends 'sleepless night' with rats. Viral videos

After complaining about the rats to the railway staff, passenger Prashant Kumar said that they responded by spraying HIT insecticide – meant for cockroaches – inside the coach. That left him with the difficulty of dealing with both the rats and the lingering effects of the cockroach spray.

A man booked an AC ticket on the South Bihar Express for a little over Rs 2,000, expecting a comfortable journey. However, upon boarding the train, which runs between Ara and Durg, Prashant Kumar discovered multiple rats travelling alongside him. He immediately reported the issue to the railways helpline at 139, seeking assistance.

Shortly after, railways staff onboard responded by spraying HIT insecticide – meant for cockroaches – inside the coach. Kumar stated that instead of resolving the problem, he was left dealing with both the rats and the lingering effects of the cockroach spray.

Indian Railways has yet to respond to the social media post. Their statement will be added once they do.
