A businessman from Punjab, Gurdip Dev Bath, gifted a luxurious Rolex watch worth Rs 1 crore to his contractor, Rajinder Singh Roopra, for his work on his sprawling estate in Zirakpur, NDTV reported. Bath cited Roopra’s “commitment to quality, speed of delivery, and meticulous attention” as the reason behind his generous gesture, a gift reflecting the grandiosity of the property itself.

The Rolex, an 18-carat yellow gold Oyster Perpetual Sky-Dweller, features a champagne-coloured dial and an oyster bracelet with gold links. This lavish present capped off an intense two-year project that saw Roopra, a contractor from Punjab's Shahkot, lead a 200-strong workforce to complete the 9-acre estate in Zirakpur.
