The second day of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding celebration saw a carnival of stars. Titled ‘Mela Rouge’, the night featured performance by popular illusion artist David Blaine, Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh and other Bollywood celebrities.
Now, a video of Dosanjh’sfunny banter with Nita Ambani is taking the internet by storm. During his performance, the “Kinni Kinni” singer tried to learn Gujarati from Nita Ambani. She asked him how he was in Gujarati to which he responded correctly earning hoots and cheers from the crowd.
However, when Nita Ambani asked him where he lived in Gujarati, the singer got stuck. When she clarified its meaning in English, Dosanjh replied, “Main logon ke dilon mai rehta hu (I live in people’s hearts)." Dosanjh’s reply impressed everyone around and even Nita Ambani cheered for him.
Meanwhile, Diljit performed some of his hit songs at including "Vibe", "Patiala Peg" and "Born to Shine", among others at 'Mela Rouge' in Jamnagar. Apart from his performance, the second day of the gala saw Deepika Padukone dancing to "Gallan Goodiyaan" with Ranveer Singh. In addition to that, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khanperformed together on stage and even danced to "Naatu Naatu" with Ram Charan.
Even Nita Ambani and Mukesh Ambanigave a performance and danced to "Pyaar Hua Ikraar Hua" from 1950 film "Shree 420". The dance performance was accompanied by a montage of the family’s personal photo album, including pictures of Mukesh Ambani playing with his grandchildren.
Anant Ambaniand Radhika Merchant are expected to tie the knot in July this year.
