Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, chairperson of HCL Technologies Roshni Nadar Malhotra, chairperson of the Steel Authority of India Soma Mondal, and Biocon chairperson Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw have been featured on Forbes' List of Most Powerful Women 2023.

Nirmala Sitharaman ranked 32nd on Forbes' List of Most Powerful Women 2023. The publication also highlighted that before her career in politics, Sitharaman held roles at the UK-based Agricultural Engineers Association and BBC World Service. On the list, she was preceded by American host and television producer Oprah Winfrey and was followed by Singapore businesswoman Ho Ching.

Billionaire philanthropist and chairperson of HCL Technologies Roshni Nadar Malhotra is also among the most powerful women of 2023, as listed by Forbes. She is also the founder and trustee of The Habitats Trust, a foundation working towards protecting habitats and their indigenous species. Malhotra has consistently been featured among the world's most powerful women in 2019, 2020, and 2023. The 42-year-old ranked 60th on the list.

Soma Mondal ranked 70th on Forbes' List of Most Powerful Women 2023. The 60-year-old chairperson of the Steel Authority of India was the first woman functional director and chairman of the company. An electrical engineering graduate from the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, Mondal over three decades of experience in the metal industry.
