'Mesmerising symphony of colours': US envoy shares pics of 'breathtaking' sunrise in Kanyakumari

United States ambassador to India Eric Garcetti was absolutely mesmerised by the beauty of Kanyakumari when he visited the southernmost tip of India. He shared a slew of pictures of the sunrise in Kanyakumari and his post on ‘Incredible India’ has gone viral online.

Garcetti took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the pictures on Monday and described the sunrise as a “mesmerising symphony of colours" where the Indian Ocean, Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea meet. The envoy of also mentioned the pristine valleys of Kashmir, bustling streets of Mumbai and the cultural heart of Kolkata in the post.

“I witnessed the breathtaking sunrise at Kanyakumari, where the Indian Ocean, Bay of Bengal, and Arabian Sea meet in a mesmerizing symphony of colours. This place truly captures the incredible diversity and beauty of India! From the pristine valleys of Kashmir to the serene shores of Kanyakumari, and the bustling streets of Mumbai to the cultural heart of Kolkata, India's beauty is a tapestry of landscapes, traditions, and flavours,” Garcetti wrote.

His post went viral online and social media users also echoed his thoughts in the comments section.

“Incredible place, yes!” a user wrote. Another user commented, “Yes, heavenly sunrise experience in Kanyakumari!

A third user exclaimed, “Incredible India, where every corner has a unique story to tell, and Kanyakumari’s sunrise is one of the most captivating chapters.”

“I hope you are enjoying our ancient land…in all its splendour! Check out the North East of India from Darjeeling to Sikkim to Assam and the Nagaland and others, you’ll love it,” a fourth user remarked.

This is not the first time that Garcetti has been in awe of India and its culture. In July, he relished a traditional Bengali meal at the Bangla Bhawan in New Delhi. He also enjoyed a big South Indian thali at Tamil Nadu Bhawan with his colleagues.
