Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma has once again captivated the public's attention, not with his political prowess, but with his extraordinary guitar skills.
A recently shared video on his official social media handles has set the internet ablaze, showcasing the leader effortlessly conquering the iconic guitar solo of Iron Maiden's 'Wasted Years.'
Sangma, known for his affinity for music, is no stranger to displaying his musical talents to the world. Last year, he obliged his followers with a video where he executed the same Iron Maiden classic.
In the caption accompanying the post, Sangma shared, "After a hectic 3-day Assembly session, unwinding with some Iron Maiden stuff. It's been a long while I haven't played, so I guess a few mistakes."
This isn't the first time the Chief Minister has shared his musical side with the public. In 2021, Sangma posted a video of himself singing Bryan Adams' classic 'Summer of 69,' showcasing his versatile musical interests. His social media accounts are peppered with similar posts, including a video of him skillfully playing Joe Satriani's 'Always With Me, Always With You.'
Beyond the musical notes, Conrad Sangma is the son of the former Lok Sabha Speaker and Meghalaya Chief Minister PA Sangma. In the recently concluded Meghalaya assembly elections, his National People's Party secured 26 seats out of the 60-member assembly, marking a significant increase from the 2018 polls where the party managed 19 seats.
He is the 12th Chief Minister of the state and assumed office in 2018.
