A dog lover in Japan who spent Rs 12 lakh on a collie costume because he wanted to "become an animal" has said that he now wants to meet a "girl dog" and be featured in movies. This comes weeks after the "human collie" who identifies as Toco began stepping outdoors in the realistic costume, walking on all fours.
Speaking to the New York Post about his unconventional life, Toco said, "The reason I chose a collie dog breed specifically is primarily because I like raising them. Secondly, because if it wasn’t a naturally large size breed, it wouldn’t look unnaturally disproportionate when worn by someone as a costume.”
He added that he long dreamed of living as an animal, but could never muster up the courage before he ended up ordering the collie costume.
Now, after going on walks on all fours, playing fetch, and even pretending to eat dog food, what Toco wants to do next is to find love.
“I think it would be great if something like this existed,” he told the New York Post, speaking of being in a romantic relationship with a woman who also liked to dress up in a dog costume. “I would like to meet them.”
Toco also has another wish -- to be featured in a movie as a dog. “I think it would be great if I were able to use my skills and get the opportunity to appear as a dog in a movie,” he said.
When asked if he gets tired after being on all fours most of the day, Toco admitted that it’s often physically strenuous but it’s worth it for the sense of fulfillment he feels.
“Rather than being tough or physically uncomfortable, the feelings of excitement and fun I receive from this experience are stronger,” he said.
The man from Japan now films and shares videos of his dog adventures on YouTube for his 50,000 subscribers.
