A man from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, was seen dancing with tears in his eyes during his best friend’s funeral procession in an emotional moment that has since gone viral online. The incident took place in Jawasia village in the Mandsaur district, where Ambala Prajapat kept a heartfelt promise to his late friend, Sohanlal Jain.
Jain, who had been battling cancer since 2023, had made an unusual yet touching request before his death. In a letter written prior to his passing, he urged Ambala not to mourn him with silence or sorrow, but instead to celebrate his life during the funeral.
The letter read: “No tears, no silence, only celebration. When I am no longer in this world, you must join my funeral procession and bid me farewell by dancing and singing to the beat of drums. Do not send me off with sadness or crying, bid me farewell happily.”
Honouring this deeply personal wish, Ambala danced during the procession, his eyes filled with tears but his spirit committed to celebrating the life of his friend. The moving gesture drew attention both in the village and online, with the moment captured in a video that was later posted on Instagram.
The clip came with the caption: “To fulfil and honour his best friend’s final wish, a man danced with teary eyes during the funeral procession, a deeply emotional moment that has surfaced online and gone viral, moving countless people to tears. The touching incident reportedly took place in Madhya Pradesh.”

According to reports from Free Press Journal, Sohanlal Jain had been battling cancer for over a year and had expressed a clear desire that his funeral should not be a sombre affair. He had even asked for music and a DJ to be part of the procession. Jain’s son, Mukesh, said that the family was glad they could fulfil his final wish. “We are happy we could send him off the way he wanted,” he told local reporters.
