The video has close to a million views on YouTube.

Jaspreet Kaur Dyora, a social media influencer from India, has come under heavy criticism for her recent actions while travelling in China. In a video posted online, Dyora is seen making derogatory and offensive comments towards locals, sparking outrage among netizens who have labelled her behaviour as disrespectful and racist.

The video began with Dyora making a statement, “Jaise aap log corona de sakte ho world ko, toh kya mein aapko trauma de sakti hu?” which translates to, "Just like how you gave the world Corona, can I give you trauma in exchange?"

In the video, Dyora approached a food vendor and sarcastically asks about the type of animal they have slaughtered. She questions the quality of a bridge, dismissing it as substandard because it is "made in China." Furthermore, she ridicules individuals for wearing what she claims are knock-off brands, comparing their attire to items from Sarojini Nagar, a well-known market in India famous for selling inexpensive and imitation goods.

The video triggered significant backlash online, with many labelling Dyora's conduct as offensive and harmful. Critics argued that her remarks not only reflected poorly on her but also defamed India.

One user commented, "Why do some people want to act like this and bring shame to others? I don't understand." Another user expressed dismay, stating, "This makes me sad to see this type of content. There is a thin line between being funny and disrespectful. This might get you lots of engagement for sure, but it won't last long as a person. They are the sweetest people. Sorry from India."

The criticism did not stop there. A third user pointed out the potential legal ramifications, saying, "These words are harassment, and it is a criminal offence. You will be charged if someone reports this to Indian police or Chinese police." Another comment highlighted the negative impact of such behaviour, stating, "These types of influencers do more harm than good. Totally racist and uncouth way to treat random people for no reason and film them."

"Why must we lose all manners in the name of humour?? How cringe and uncouth," one user stated. A user noted, "Nobody has the right to demean any human or their way of living. She could have been jailed if noted and reported to cops while in China, this incident could have been easily escalated!"
