On Sunday, Google Doodle celebrated the thrilling finale of the 2024 Indian Premier League, famously known as TATA IPL 2024. The excitement has been palpable, with fans eagerly awaiting to see which team will emerge as the champion this year.
The tournament kicked off with ten teams from across India, divided into two groups. Each team played a total of 14 games—seven at home and seven away. After a riveting group stage, the top four teams moved on to the high-stakes Qualifier and Eliminator stages. And, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) battled their way to the IPL17 finals.
The grand showdown between KKR and SRH will take place at Chennai's iconic Chepauk Stadium on Sunday. KKR dominated the league stage, finishing at the top with nine wins, three losses, and two no results, amassing 20 points. They secured a direct spot in the final by defeating SRH in Qualifier One. SRH, undeterred, earned their place in the final by overcoming Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Qualifier Two with a solid 36-run victory.

Meanwhile, KKR and SRH have each posted six 200-plus totals, the highest by any team. SRH has even crossed the 250-run mark three times, including setting the highest IPL total of 287/3 against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), while KKR has achieved this feat twice.
While KKR is being led by Shreyas Iyer, SRH is being spearheaded by Pat Cummins.
