With a beautiful campus, free snacks, a nap room, good work-life balance, and flexibility when it comes to workplaces -- Microsoft employees seem to have it all and more. In a recent video, the employees participated in an ongoing trend and shared a reel on Instagram highlighting the perks they enjoy at work.
The video was officially approved by Microsoft.
The reel was apparently shot at the company's Hyderabad campus which is nestled amidst 54 sprawling acres. The energy-efficient and eco-friendly campus has three buildings with hi-tech safety systems.
It also has a 24x7 multi-cuisine cafeteria with coffee, tea, fruits, health drinks, lassi, and infused water available in informal meeting areas on each floor. Hot filter coffee is also available at all facilities. "Employees can recharge and refresh at any given time," the company stated on its website.
The campus also has round-the-clock ambulance service and a pharmacy, a landscaped 800-seater outdoor amphitheater, air-conditioned bus services with WiFi connectivity, dedicated banks and ATMs as well as a fully-equipped gym with trainers, yoga and aerobics classes.
Responding to the reel, Microsoft Life commented, "We're Microsoft Life, of course we love this post!" "It's a post by our Microsoft employees, of course it's gonna be wholesome!" added Microsoft India Development Centre.
Soon others chimed in.
"We are Microsoft employees, of course we go for 4 days of morale outing trip, which is coming soon," wrote Namita Jain (@namita.jain.03). "We are Microsoft employees, of course, remote working folks are missing campus and making reels with the team," said Kanika Vij (@gruesome.optimist).
The video also triggered a common feeling among non-Microsoft employees (including this writer's) -- jealousy.
"We aren't Microsoft employees, of course we are jealous as hell right now," commented Rutuja Gundecha (@rutujagundecha). "Of course, I don’t have this in my life. Hence, I am sad and jealous with 49 others," added Sona Gupta (sonagupta_).
