'Disappointing food, misplaced bag': Food vlogger narrates 'worst flight experience' on Air India Express

A recent Instagram Reel shared by a food vlogger, known online as dct_eats, has gained significant traction after he detailed what he described as his “worst flight experience” with Air India Express. The video documented the vlogger’s journey from Mumbai to Delhi, highlighting several issues that led to his dissatisfaction with the airline.

The video began with the vlogger named Tarun recounting a stressful check-in process exacerbated by a payment issue. His frustration only grew during the flight when his co-passenger ignored safety protocols, remaining on his phone during takeoff. Despite Tarun's request to switch off the phone, the co-passenger responded dismissively, prompting the vlogger to label him an “educated fool” before moving to another seat.

The situation deteriorated further when Tarun was served a meal that he found deeply unsatisfactory. He described the omelette as smelly and the hara bhara kebab as too dry to finish. While he acknowledged that the crew offered him green tea, this gesture did little to improve his overall experience.

Upon landing, Tarun's frustrations were compounded when his bag was misplaced, causing an additional 30-minute delay. The video concluded with him expressing his discontent, which resonated with many of his followers.

However, the post also attracted criticism. Some viewers took issue with the vlogger’s decision to record his co-passenger, even though the individual’s face was not revealed. One user sarcastically suggested, “Start an airline and fly in that solo.”

Another user wrote, "Bro sat in the economy and asking for a first class experience."

Others shared their own negative experiences with the airline, echoing the vlogger’s complaints. For instance, a user commented about a recent flight from Bangalore to Hyderabad on Air India Express, where he faced a seven-hour delay and encountered unresponsive staff.

The video has since amassed a million views, sparking a wider discussion about the quality of service in Indian aviation. Another commenter added, “Indian aviation standards are going down and down."

"This payment issue is a scam by Air India Express, same thing happened with me," one user stated.
