Karnataka Chief Minister Sadananda Gowda alongwith the state home and cabinet ministers visited BS Yeddyurappa on Sunday at Jayadeva Hospital and said Yeddyurappa is not keeping fine and is under observation.

"For the next 48 hours he will be put under observation by the doctors. He is very weak and can't speak, " said Gowda.

Former Karnataka chief minister BS Yeddyurappa was rushed to the hospital late on Saturday night after he complained of chest pain. Yeddyurappa is undergoing treatment in the ICU of Jayadeva Hospital, doctors said.

This came within hours of him being arrested and being lodged at the central prison in Bangalore. Yeddyurappa surrendered on Saturday after a Special Lokayukta Court rejected his bail petition in two government land denotification cases.

His party the BJP has come out in his support, and vowed to fight it out in court. After meeting Yeddyurappa, Gowda said, "This is not a conspiracy or anything. Yeddyurappa is not feeling well so he has been admitted."

Former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa was on Saturday put behind bars in a land denotification scam.

He evaded arrest by the police and instead surrendered before Lokayukta court, following which, Yeddyurappa was remanded to judicial custody till October 22.

The land scam was once dismissed by Yeddyurappa as a frivolous charge against him. The BJP leader, who is known for his grit and survival skills, is now staring at an uncertain future.
