A resident of Gurgaon, identified on social media as Gajodhar Singh, has reported significant damage to his high-end vehicles following heavy rainfall in the city. Singh shared a video showing his BMW M340i, valued at around Rs 70-80 lakh, partially submerged in water, and expressed his frustration over the situation.

Singh took to Instagram to voice his concerns about the city's infrastructure and the lack of response from local authorities. "I pay my taxes, I pay bills all to wake up one day to see my house, my BMW, Mercedes, i20 stranded and gone," Singh wrote. He added, "No authorities or officials have shown up to fix the situation yet," indicating his distress over the lack of immediate action.

In his post, Singh mentioned his failed attempts to get a crane to lift his cars, as none would enter the deep water outside his home in Gurgaon's upscale Sector 57. The video accompanying his post showed extensive waterlogging on the road.

“This ain't Mumbai or Bangalore, welcome to the metro city of India, Gurugram/Gurgaon,” Singh wrote, urging his followers to tag local authorities to address the issue.

The video has sparked a significant reactions on social media, with many users expressing their sympathy and frustration. "Imagine seeing your car like this after paying half of its value in taxes to the government?" one user commented. Another user wrote, "Such a shame. And the government wants people to happily pay heavy taxes just to get flooded. Absolute joke."

"This is so sad. I don't even know what to say," a user remarked.

One user stated, "The fact that he is trying to be calm and handle the situation professionally. Mad respect."

Meanwhile, Gurgaon experienced heavy rainfall on Thursday, leading to severe waterlogging and flooding in various parts of the city. Many residents found themselves stranded either inside their homes or on waterlogged roads, attributing the flooding to delays in desilting measures for the city's drains.
