A flyover in Bengaluru that has been in the making for eight years, now has its own social media page to record the progress of its construction, leaving social media users amused. The city's civic body, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) named the X account 'BBMP Koramangala Ejipura Flyover Project' (@Ejipuraflyover). It features posts on segment casting and asphalt and bitumen road works being undertaken.
Commenting on the account, an X user shared, "Welcome to Silicon Valley of India, namma Bengaluru where Flyovers have X accounts to post their updates."

For eight years, the unfinished flyover near the posh Koramangala locality, dubbed the "Bangalore Stonehenge" by users on Google Maps, has loomed over the city as a haunting symbol of urban planning gone awry. Last week, BBMp announced further delays. The 2.38-km-long flyover—which was promised to be ready by December — has been pushed to March 2026. BBMP chief commissioner M Maheshwar Rao has instructed engineers to take all possible measures to ensure the project doesn’t miss this latest deadline, The Hindu reported.
According to BBMP engineers, while core tasks like segment casting, erection, and span installation are expected to be completed by December, an additional three months have been allocated for final touches, such as asphalting the stretch.
The Ejipura flyover project has faced multiple delays since being kicked off in 2017. The progress first slowed down in 2019 when the then-contractor went bankrupt. The cost of the flyover is estimated to be Rs 204 crore, and the construction was supposed to be completed by 2019, but it faced further delays owing to problems in land acquisition. In January, the authorities had revised their deadline to December 2025.
