Bengaluru woman stabs husband for not taking her to Singapore, arrested: report

A Bengaluru woman, 52, was arrested for allegedly attacking her husband, 56, and stabbing him after he declined to take her to Singapore along with him, a Times of India report said.

The incident took place on Saturday afternoon when the woman stabbed her spouse with a kitchen knife. The main reason behind the man refusing to take his wife along was he felt that she was not adept at keeping the house clean.

The man, who holds Singapore citizenship and has been working in the country for 25 years, got married in 2002. He has a 20-year-old son, who has been staying with his mother in Bengaluru since childhood.

The man's wife and son would visit him in Singapore for a few days and he would also come to Bengaluru twice or thrice a year, to spend time with the family.
