Investor Ajay Bagga recalled the horror that he and his wife went through while being stuck for 12 hours at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel during 26/11 terrorist attacks. Residents of Mumbai and the entire world were shaken after 10 terrorists from the Laskhar-e-Taiba (LeT) terror organisation attacked several places in Maximum City on this day, 15 years ago.
The Chairman of Elyments Platforms shared a picture of himself and his wife, Rajita Bagga, running out of the hotel after being stuck for 12 hours during the horrific attack. He also thanked Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar for his blessings in the post and mentioned that they came face-to-face with death five times that fateful night.
“26/11. New life for both of us thanks to our Gurudev @SriSri ji's blessing. Photo of my wife @RajitaBagga and I, as we were running out of the @TajMahalMumbai the next morning, after being at the Chambers for the past 12 hours. Firing started again as we ran out. 5 times we came face to face with death that night,” he wrote.

The couple were having dinner at Masala Kraft, a restaurant at the Taj Hotel when the firing started. The picture featured Bagga and Rajita running as other people took cover. “We were having dinner at the Masala Kraft restaurant at the Taj Mumbai when the firing started at 9.30 pm. Got out the next morning around 10.30 am after the NSG reached the Taj and created a corridor for us to leave. Below photo of us taking cover in the centre as firing started from a higher floor onto us as we came out of the hotel,” he added.
“Salute and gratitude to Indian Army, NSG, Mumbai Police and the @TajMahalMumbai staff,” Bagga concluded the post.
The gruesome attacks in Mumbai occurred at the Taj and Oberoi hotels, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Nariman Point and Leopold Cafe. The terrorists killed 166 people and injured over 300 during the four-day attack.
Tributes for the policemen who laid down their lives and victims of the attacks poured in from all over on social media on Sunday.
