While performing at a concert in Las Vegas, Adele had a heartwarming reunion. The singer was performing “When We Were Young” as part of her ‘Weekends with Adele residency’ when she spotted a familiar face in the crowd – the doctor who had delivered her baby. She got really emotional after spotting her obstetrician, Colin, and stopped her performance in the middle.
"Oh my God, Colin! This is my doctor who delivered my baby. I haven't seen you for years,” she said and rushed into the audience to hug Colin. A video of the emotional moment has gone viral as well.
“Adele got really emotional after she sees the doctor who delivered her baby in the crowd while singing ‘When We Were Young’” read the caption of the post.
Social media users hailed Adele’s gesture and the post received an outpouring of love online.
“That was so sweet of her. She was overwhelmed seeing him and it was as if two old friends greeted each other,” a user wrote. Another user commented, “That’s the sweetest thing ever.”
“She is just the realest and sweetest,” a third user remarked. “This is so overwhelming as an emotion, seeing someone who’s from your country, in a different country, in the same place, that you share a relationship with. And for her it’s deeper than most I understand this moment,” a fourth user added.
Meanwhile, the “Rolling in the Deep” singer also paid tribute to Matthew Perry. “He was so open with his struggles. With addiction and sobriety. Which I think is incredibly, incredibly brave. Just want to say how much I love what he did for us,” she said.
Perry was found dead at his Los Angeles home on Saturday. He was 54.
